Interpreting the score
The Hammerli Pneuma is a new arrival in the PCP arena but based on the velocity numbers and build quality it's going to be a big hit very quickly.
It is an economically priced PCP yet offers the power of high end models. It features a synthetic, ambidextrous stock and is configured as a single shot rifle. It is not shrouded although the end of the barrel is threaded. If quiet is a super necessity one can always send it off for an after-market shroud. The Pneuma is available in .177 and .22 calibers and if you aren't really sure whether airgunning is a sport for you, this rifle will help you make that determination at a low entry price.
While plain in styling the finish on both the barrel and stock did not disappoint us. We found the quality to be as good as any other gun at this price-point.
